LaManchas are known for their very short elf, or preferably gopher ears. In addition, LaManchas should have a straight facial profile, with wide set eyes. Toggenburgs must have white swiss facial markings against the dark gray background color they are known for. Their ears are typically shorter than those of the Alpine and they often have a slightly dished face. Alpines should have a straight facial profile with upright ears, and can be any combination of facial coloring and patterns. The Oberhasli facial structure is similar to the Toggenburg, with slightly shorter ears that are set onto the head a lower angle than a typical Alpine. They are of course required to have bay coloring with black facial swiss markings, or a solid black head if they are the black variant.
